Ok, maybe nosey question, but I still cannot figure it out. If I see a game I really like (like Jagged Alliance e.g.) i run to buy it, hoping part of my money finds it's way to creators.
In case of Matrix and Steel panthers
Who pays you guys and for what? how may I add my two cents into your pockets? because I would really like to see Steel Panthers patched and Nam out.
Must add my two cents worth , or in my case, two penneth worth.
I must admit to some feelings of guilt after playing this wonderful game, and playing it for free.
You guys have probuced what in my oppinion is the finest computer war game, and like renwor, I'd like to do my bit to help ensure that you guys can keep producing patches, add-ons and eventually a whole new game to replace the SP based one.
I never thought I'd see the day when I'd be saying "Let me pay!" But seeing as I know diddly squat about writting code, all I can do is throw in the occasional idea and thought, and pay my way so as to let you guys keep doing what you do so well.
In times of war we see the worst that man has to offer. But we also see the best that man has to offer.
I'm glad to see you're enjoying the game and I am also very happy to see that you want us to continue in both supporting SPWAW and in creating new titles.
Yes SPWAW was free, but for the most part our future titles will be "For Sale" titles just like all the other game companies out there. No one pays us, atleast not yet - not until we sell our first game, for our work. SPWAW was free because that's the deal we struck with SSI ( and Mattel ) for granting us access to the source code so we could improve the game more than just cosmetically. We'll continue patching the game and as a matter of fact Paul Vebber has been taking down all the Bug and 'Feature' reports from the SPWAW forum since release so we have a better idea of what needs to be fixed and what we can add.
So stay tuned. We'll be continuing to support SPWAW and if you look at the Our Games page of the site you'll see a list of the games we have slated to release this year and into next.
