How to control advance after attack?

Post by Fred98 »

If my troops force an enemy unit to retreat I note my units follow them into the hex.

In other games I would have the choice. I could move into the newly won hex or I could stay put.

Is there something in the options screen to cover this? How do I control advance after attack?

You have to set up the attack as a limited attack:

Note that units ordered to launch limited attacks, do so at half strength - it's sort of a skirmish-like attack, where there is no close assault of the enemy defenses.
