combat saves

Post by spence »

Hello All:

Is there only one COMBAT SAVE SLOT in the save file or can one be "manufactured"? If so how. It sorta looks like whichever combat save is downloaded replaces the previous one automatically in the one slot allocated. With one game ongoing this is no problem but with 2 or more it seems it would complicate matters (roughly speaking, in direct proportion to the square of the number of empties on the computer table):D ;)

Hi, There is only one replay slot 001. You only need one at a time.
The tricky part is playing multiple PBEM games. My files download into folders. I open each folder run the turn and return to my opponent before opening the next game folder.
As Japanese you create the new file but if you are allied opening more then 1 game at a time will over write the first one you download.

Basically you have to load, play and send each turn before you go to the next opponent and its probably a good idea to save the turn in a separate opponents file in case something goes wrong with your outgoing mail. Otherwise you will have to replay the turn to generate the combatsave.
