Thank You! Looks great.

One question, how come in the Fifth Eskadra scenario we are limited to playing as the Soviets?

I am a little disappointed by this, but I also am really curious as to why. Was the US side too hard in testing?

Hi I made the scenario playable from Soviets side only because we always seem to play the US side in this type of scenario, so let's see how it goes as a Soviet player with limited assets against US CVBGs

My experience is that building a two sided scenario is about 3-4 times the amount of effort - and is less satisfying to play from either side because of compromises you need to make for playability and balance.

If you've built any - I'd be happy to play them.

Yeah, some scenarios, like Operation Moked, wouldn't be too fun to play as the side that got it's rear end crunched, in this case the Egyptians.

Alright then. You do make a good point. I think the Soviets would have an initial advantage in that they already got pretty close to the Sixth Fleet, so they may be able to engage before US Airpower can fully launch against them.

Have you read "Cold War Hot: Alternate Decisions of the Cold War" Edited by Peter Tsouras? One of the stories in there is called "Fire and Ice: Sixth Fleet vs Fifth Eskadra, October 1973" by Wade G. Dudley. I think it is a pretty interesting read. The all hell breaks loose over a fire control accident during a watch change on one of the ships. I'm very interested to see what you decided would be the spark causing the clash.

Someone amongst the Community Scenario builders should tackle a US perspective of this hypothetical (but then quite probable) engagement.

Hi thanks for the comments, I havnt read them articles etc but will get round to it, playing the Soviet side it's critical to get your strikes in first before you get the full force of the CVBGS strike aircraft, idea is get in close and pound the carriers with guns and torpedoes and coordinate that with missile strikes, hopefully you may survive!!

I know, there is a delay, this is not a problem to put a price out.

Catch 22 - if you post the price, everyone will think that it's ready for ordering and then will become frustrated when they can't order (not everyone is here reading the forum notices).

Exactly.
It was logical for me, that's why I assumed you (Ghost0815) weren't aware there were problems.
