RE: Campaign Series Middle East 2.00 SUPPORT THREAD
Crossroads;
As ever I appreciate your patience and guidance. I may be on to something.
I saved my current download to an external hard drive as I was making extensive changes to the OOB for the 8 part Chinese Farm scenarios. The 8 part series has a single OOB (Chinese.org).
I did a full uninstall on my C Drive and re-downloaded V2.0 to my C Drive C:Matrix Games\Campaign Series Middle East per the previous help you and berto provided. Now every scenario works fine.
I suspect that somehow my changes to the OOB caused scenarios 2 thru 8 to have a problem because of the common OOB. I vaguely remember having an issue with Tillers Campaign series in deleting units in the OOB resulted in scenarios not working.
Anyway, I think I need to be more careful in deleting items in modding the OOB. In the past I would put an "X" in front of the unit rather than deleting in from the OOB as a reminder not to put it on the map.
Not asking you to do anything. Just need to sharpen my skills on creating new OOBs and linking them to scenarios. Thanks again for the help.

I highly recommend becoming familiar with the JSGME tool that is provided in the installation and how it works with modding. I believe it is explained in the manual how to use it. There is also a video that shows you how to turn on and off various mods.
If you do edits to your OOB's, do it as a MOD, then add it when you wish.
No need to have multiple installations of your core game.

Here's a link to an earlier Developer Diary I did for JTCS covering how to mod OoB files, so a different game, but the basics apply here as well.
1. Create the mod directory, 2. Add the OoB files you want to change there, 3. Edit the said files, 4. Activate the mod to see them., 5. Deactivate the mod to go back to stock install.

RE: Campaign Series Middle East 2.00 SUPPORT THREAD
Unfortunately, the 2.01 UPDATE is not cumulative, so you will need to unistall 1.02, install 2.00 and then use the UPDATE feature to install 2.01
RE: Campaign Series Middle East 2.00 SUPPORT THREAD
Thank you I deleted all files and uploaded the new 2.01 game.

RE: Campaign Series Middle East 2.00 SUPPORT THREAD
Couple of notes on issues I had to be able to run the game -
There didn't seem to be any difference between running on integrated graphics or a discrete graphics card. My graphics card is an RTX2070, integrated graphics is Intel UHD 630. You might have issues with that kind of setup, but it didn't make any difference for me which I ran on.
Second, I'm on Win 10 Home. I had to set compatibility to run for Windows 8 in order to have any of the in-game graphics show up, outside of the UI bar. Originally, I had a white screen where the map and terrain would be drawn, and the turn start icon was upside down. Running in Win 8 fixed it. I did not need to select any other compatibility options.
Third, I originally could not start the game. I would get a black box and then it would vanish. I looked in system errors and saw that it was griping about a sound driver. I looked and saw that my microphone was turned off. Selecting an audio output fixed it (long story as to why it's off, but it's due to WFH audio setup).
Last, I would suggest not just submitting direct x graphic logs, but go to the windows event viewer and look for errors in there. Not everything is a graphics issue, but might be something else.

Re: Campaign Series Middle East 2.00 SUPPORT THREAD
Hi,
Apologies if this is in the wrong place as I'm not very technical.
I have bought and downloaded CSME but I am unable to access the Scenarios list. I click on Start a new game and nothing happens. Eventually I get a not responding message. Everything else eg Campaigns, Edit etc work fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and used 2.0 and 2.1 but the scenarios list refuses to appear. Can anyone please advise me.
Thanks

Good day, Russelle and thank you for the purchase!
I'll take a look at home and see how my system looks and provide a set by step just in case something is off.

Re: Campaign Series Middle East 2.00 SUPPORT THREAD
When I open my menu with my 2.01 UPDATED game, I see the following:
Looking all good so far.
I'm wondering if the 2.00 or 2.01 UPDATES didn't install properly in your game?

Hi Jason,
I have reinstalled for a fourth time and updated to 2.1. The music plays, I click on Play Scenario as in the middle screenshot but still nothing happens. The list in screenshot 3 does not appear. I also can't close the CSME picture without rebooting my computer. It's all very frustrating. I have over 200 games on my computer and nothing like this has ever happened before. I don't know if there's somewhere else on my system where I can look to see if it has installed properly.
Thanks
Russell

Hi Jason,
No. Unfortunately I don't have anything like that.
I've noticed that on Steam if something isn't exactly right you can Verify Integrity of Game Files. That has worked for me with several games that don't seem to have installed 100% correctly. I'm probably showing my lack of I.T. knowledge here, but I wondered if there was something similar I could run on this game. If not I might just have to write this one off as bad luck. I was hoping to go for CS Vietnam next but this has made me a little hesitant.
Thanks
Russell

Just as a bit of extra information. Each time I uninstall it takes about 10 attempts as it gets about halfway and then says Not Responding.
Thanks
