Korsun Pocket Screen Resolution

Post by LyleGorch »

Friends,

I bought KP today, but on my 15" monitor the units, text and map are blurred and the game is nearly impossible to play. I have tried adjusting the screen resolution, but nothing seems to work.

Is there anything else I need to do, other than getting a bigger monitor?

Thanks for your help

Marc,

A CTX model -- not sure of the number. I think it's just time for a total upgrade, as my system is near the five-year old mark. It's fine for UV and the Panzer Campaign games, but not a lot of the new games.

Thanks

LyleGorch,

as far as I am aware KP only runs at 1024x768 - this would definitely present an eye-strain issue on a 15" monitor I would think. I run it on a 17" monitor and the graphics and units/numbers etc are very crisp and defined (some might argue it looks even better on a 19"!)

The reason TAO2 looks good on your screen is that it loads up at 640x480 - a good size for your screen, but the advantage with higher resolutions is that you can fit huge amounts of real estate on your screen in comparison to games like TAO2.

I think you would certainly reap major benefits by upgrading your monitor, and I think there are bargains to be had on larger sized CRT style monitors these days.

Chris,

Thanks a million -- I had a feeling that that was the case. Well, it's time to smash the piggy bank and buy a new system, or find a giant magnifying glass! It will be worth it for the lessened eye strain alone.
