Doesn't capturing Bangkok allow him to now form Kamikazis?

Kamikazes will be an interesting thing, when 1944 comes.

BTW, you might find this very amusing...but...I ABSOLUTELY FORGOT ABOUT KAMIKAZES triggered by being near Saigon! [:D][:D][:D]

I thought it was Takao and Tokyo....

Several IJ players lately have pointed out that the Kamikazes are a net point gain for the Allies, if they protect their ships adequately. They get the occasional spectacular success but great Allied damage control prevents most ship losses.

Latest save for people who want to see how things are or just start playing from summer 1943:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/z12mgjeobg0gi ... 3.pws?dl=0

CAVEAT! This will be save for slot 3, so if you have something else there (and most would), please save first somewhere else (e.g. desktop etc.). Then rename the file e.g. wpae025.pws or some other free slot you have. This will avoid you accidentally overwriting your own save game.

Apart from Burma/Malaya/Thailand, I have played very conservatively. So amphibious attacks planned will most likely give decent game still. IJN CVs are still mostly intact.

Situation June 5 1943 and planned operations for 1943.

UK/Indian/AUS forces (6th and 7th AUS Div) will advance towards Singapore.
5th and 8th AUS Div will keep Port Moresby (with assorted smaller units).
SWPac and SoPac will advance through Solomon Islands.
CentPac will capture Makin and start to work from there around Gilbert and Mashall Islands.

I am constantly hampered by ships refitting at very unfortunate times. My invasions have been delayed months because of major surface combatants and landing ships gone to refit/upgrade sequentially [:'(]

Not that I mind having APAs soon or lot more AAA on BBs etc.

But SACPAC (Supreme Allied Commander Pacific) is bit impatient, now that after months I got back into WitP-AE.

+1 ![:)]

If you have converted those Dutch and British 1750 ton xAKLs to xAPs, you get a bunch of 500/750 capacity ships that can unload in a day (if they arrive the night before and have the whole day for unloading). They are great for filling in before the APAs arrive. And their 4000 nm range should not hinder you with the invasions you plan close to Australia.

Unfortunately had to quit this scenario. Seems there is something wrong with AUS divisions' TOE. Maybe some data corruption.

Their TOE now has like 1 Bn of infantry and e.g 500+ support squads. One div has some Philippine army TOE..[X(][&:] So, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th AUS Divs are pretty useless. That is lot of manpower lost.

Bit pointless to continue. Even tried bit earlier save, but it was still like that.

I started with stock, but after a while, I continued with one of DaBabes from another thread.

No worries, I'll start another with DaBabes Lite. Sardaukar's Take Third. [:D]

It'll be Allies vs. IJ AI, DaBabes Lite A (only plane, ship, weapon etc. modifications, so updated AndyMac AI should work and make it more interesting). [8D]
