Vichy in late '42

No I am not a very bad player lol.

The issues with Vichy. If only Hitler had completely conquered France, wargames of all type would have been much easier to design and program.

So I completely conquered France in late '40. Everything was good until the Allies took Algiers in Dec '42. The entire Vichy routine fired, planes being transferred, France will fight on, etc. The only area the Allies have taken are a few hexes around Algiers. I still own all of mainland France. Madagascar did go Vichy though [:)]

I have no idea what this will do to my game but I guess I will find out lol.

All because I was afraid if I said No to forming Vichy I had no idea for what would happen in mainland France.

If I'm understanding this correctly, France must have fallen in 1940 without this Decision being offered because Algiers was captured before France fell?

If so, do you have any thoughts from your game where the risk of this happening can be reduced to the minimum without affecting game balance?

Yes France was completely conquered in late '40. As I said in the OP, the Vichy event triggered when the Allies invaded Algeria and took Algiers in Dec '42. And since I said No, the entire Vichy chain took effect. Or at least it appeared that all the events took place. All the Vichy messages came up on the screen at least.

I would suggest to put code in so that if France is completely conquered, then the Vichy event should be completely disabled from ever firing.

The only mod I am using is the Iron Cross graphic mod. Everything else is Vanilla.
