PBEM notification app

IIRC there use to be a small app you could download on your computer and it would notify you when a slitherine/matrix game turn was returned to you so you didn't have to launch the game to check.

Is that a thing or no?

I remember using that to play the original Field of Glory game about 8 years ago, but am not aware that a universal tool existed (i.e. it was just for that game).

Hmm, maybe it was game specific. It would be nice to have though.
