Post by U2 »

Hi

When one selects to start a new PBEM game you get to this menu where one fills in names and addresses and such for the opponents. I am completely unable to type @

Help please!

I don't have the game yet, but I've seen this problem before in other contexts and it's normally due to differences in US and European keyboards. Have you guys tried Shift+2, which is an @ on US keyboards?

That did not help but thanks for trying to help. BTW I have the Euro version of the game for what it's worth

Don't work for me either. This must be fixed quickly!!! It is like having a game that is half-broken!

No one of the solutions above works. I have the European version.

as a workaround, try this. Before you start your email game, edit the options.txt file in the korsun pocket directory:

---------------- [ Email Options ] ----------------
Email Axis Player = Chris
Email Axis Address = wargamer@merchant.on.net
Email Allied Player = Rob
Email Allied Address = robjess@bigpond.com
Email File Name = chris_rob3
Email Replay Data = Yes
Email Combat Advisor = Yes
Email Secure Game = No

type in the specific email addresses and save the file, now open up the game again and hopefully you should see the email addresses filled out correctly.

Cheers Chris

This may be a silly question, but just out of interest how do u guys type the @ to send normal emails if its not on your keyboards?
Isn't that bizarre?

I think they would still use the "@" key but KP interprets it as a different or null keystroke as it is probably set up for US keyboards/language.

I remember there was a similar issue with a multiplayer chat key in CMBO.
