Nice. I wonder if it is possible to show the weather effect over the units, currently it is not easy to spot at glance if the units are on heavy rain or light rain hexes.

I don't think so apec. I think the game puts down the weather layer first and then the units layer(s) on top of that. If you saw my full-hex weather in the other thread you see the snow and rain clearly under the units.

I think this is better anyhow - I recall other games with weather on top and it obscured the game during bad weather too much imo.

Nicely done Shapelord!

Looks good. I think the clouds were a bit too repetitive in their pattern, though; sort of turned the seas into an impression of wall paper. Mostly a matter of taste, but it stole my attention. But making them transparent solved that. The overall effect of the mod creates a much better feeling of actual weather hardships. Well done.

I wonder if moving the weather icons to the upper left (instead of upper right) corner of each hex would help because they would become obscured by a stack of units.

I am hoping someone can better model Rasputitsa in Russia. I launch Barbarossa in April with some some clear weather on part of the front. Pretty much had little problems with spring weather. Nothing like a whole session of mud. Should be some sort of mud effect for a couple of months in the spring and fall. The game does not model this at all well.

This is indeed a good idea to try.

Thank you all! I've tried to put the icons in the upper left corner, and made it more transparent as Uxbridge suggested (thank you, way better).
I should make the rain icons smaller though, see the stack in Genoa with rain
