Effectiveness gain and loss

Post by Michael T »

@Alvaro

You kindly explained how units regain effectiveness. For example a 20% recovery was not a flat 20% of 100, but rather 20% of 100-(current effectiveness).

I understand that side of it. But what about loss of effectiveness?

Which is correct for the loss of 20% effectiveness on a unit with a current level of 60% effectiveness, A or B?

A) 60 - (20% * 100) = 20% lost so unit goes down to 40% effectiveness.

B) 60 - (20% * (100-60) = 8% lost so unit goes to 52% effectiveness.

When you expend it is a fixed amount.
When you gain it is a ratio.

If you lose 15% for strat bombing you go from 100% to 85%.

If you gain 36% durring the supply phase a unit with less effectiveness will gain more.

recovery amount = recovery amount * (100% - current effectiveness%)
With 2 randoms based on logistics adding a max of an additional +2.

I did note a rounding error that made zero possible. That has been fixed. I think that was the problem some people where having with paras.

Thank you. It works as I observed it. Just wanted to confirm that it was WAD (working as designed).
