Beta Expired, but wasn't on beta

A little upset because I got the latest update on my non-steam warplan game from the game menu. Now it's says beta expired. I don't want the beta and should not have it. Just want to play the game and get all updates from the built-in game menu for updates. I now can't play the game and neither can my friend and I don't want to have to tell him to deal with the beta downloads as he wanted to avoid that in the future.

How can this be fixed so we can play the game again?

It should say 7.2. There was an error in the 7.1 patch that went out and we fixed it the same day.

ok. But how can I fix this? If I try to update from the game main menu, it says I have the latest version. When I try to start the game I get the 'beta expired'.

If the updater doesn't work ... Matrix Website, login, My Page (near top) -> scroll to WarPlan -> File Downloads -> [PC] Update v1.00.07.2

Done and working now. Thanks for the quick information. Hopefully the game menu updater will get fixed in the future. It's a handy tool. [:)]

I see this discussion occurred around a month ago. My steam version of the game is now doing it. I did not believe I was buying a beta version. Steam downloads any updates automatically so why has this not been patched by now?
Customer service is not about fixing the problem for only the guys that visit this forum. You need to fix the base game in Steam. I assume you realize you are alienating over half your potential player base. Most will not bother trying to find a solution and just move on.

I just uninstalled my steam version and installed it again. It is the official 1.00.072 and it is working.

Do you have the beta installed? If it is the beta that has expired get the new version of it. It won't affect current games.

It's happening on the 15th. I have to get Matrix to correct the files.

I purposely change the date on my PC to the 16th to check.
