P38Es stuck in west coast A/Fs

Post by Podolano »

Hi,

It’s mid dec-42 in Scen #1 and I’m playing against the Jap AI.
After browsing through the forum here, I couldn’t find an answer to this issue:

I’m stuck with 5-6 P38Es squadrons in some west coast airfields, all Squads Restricted, which do not allow me to transfer them to other Unrestricted Air HQs.
I’ve moved them to other Airfields that have Unrestricted squads, but to no avail.
They are all in gray and have been so for a long long time.

Any hints on how can I overcome that?

Thanks,

Felipe

These are probably air units that get transferred out (disbanded) so just use them for training pilots.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing! :o

Units that are "white restricted" can't have their HQs changed.

What you can do is, if you have PDU set to On, upgrade those P-38s to other airframes which will release those P-38s to your pools, and you can use them in other units.

and you will need to trade 25 planes for those P-38s

it might not be worth it for the smaller 5-plane squadrons, specially if you are having many losses

and of course, remember to disable automatic replacements

If you use all your restricted squadrons for training you still won't have enough training slots, you're going to have to use some unrestricted squadrons for training too.
