Another day, another bombardment at Clark. Both the USMC Regt and the US Army Regt are back at Bataan switching out t '43 squads. This will make the Army Regt quite potent but the Marine Regt was assembled partly from USMC guard details at embassies in China and lacks heavy weapons.
Philippine Scout units don't have enough infantry replacements so they are all used up. It's now the PA, part of a British Brig. and American arty and tanks holding Clark

Jap 1st Tank Div (from China) has arrived at Vinh with over 300 Ronsons. 3 units moving up behind them

The type 1 medium tank is quite a serviceable Japanese piece of armor. It's capable of holding its own against light armor, of which you seemingly have none. It's a step up from the Type 97, which it replaced in 1942. The 1st and 2nd Tank Division's TOE in late 1942 / early 1943 has a large number of these vehicles in addition to the craptacular Type 95/97 light tank "ronsons".

These old ronsons ain't what they used to be. You would be advised to fast track some TD/armored/AT units into theater.

Don't believe it will, but not sure.

We have 50 Tk Brigade at Nakon with 100+ Valentine III's but they are 2 1/2 to 3 weeks march. Br. 70 Brig with 72 towed 2 Pdr. is 2 weeks out.

Best hope is air support until help arrives. Unfortunately, Vinh is vulnerable to naval bombardment as well.

Might just be some bad oysters. I only had two and SG slurped down 4 but she's fine. Go figure. You figure at $20 for 6 they would be free of Vibrio. If I am already getting better and I DON'T have ...it...I am going to be really angry.

No, respiratory symptoms are very mild. Maybe I just swallowed the damn thing down my gullet without breathing. Sure knocked the stuffing out of me. By 5 PM I am ready for a nap. I tried to have a G&T. 4 oz later I was lying on the couch drooling for 2 hrs. like I had roofied myself. Could be Vibrio or Disney Princess cruise ship virus.

Have you considered strychnine? Does SG know the value of your life insurance policy? [X(]

How would you like to be a crew member of LST-466? Load up with ammo and C-rations in Portland..leave the riots behind and it's down the Willamette....brave any Jap subs...fuel up at Midway then you steer 120 m south of Iwo Jima to avoid the Jap dive bombers at Pagan...then it's the run it to Butuan, Mindanao..all to get ready for a direct run to Luzon...and then they call you to tell you to alter course as there is a Jap SCTF hunting you.

Managed to get an AK to Butuan with some fuel to refuel the subs and smaller AK's for the trip home. Some of the subs go to Vinh for refueling and pick up supply there but the trip to Luzon is longer. The best supply base would be at Puerto Princesa because it is beyond Val range from Manila. I also managed t get 4 LCT's all the way from Midway to Palawan but now they need fuel for the round trip to Bataan. LST's are the best bet because they are only 3 points and they unload fast.

Here is an example of a one LST trying to reach Mindanao from Kavieng. The route planning code is clearly trying to avoid something to the West..probably some Vals in the Moluccas. Ultimately, we will have to bring in CV's and smash our way to Mindanao and either reduce Beazelbob or take it.

When I was in a nursing home recovering, the nursing home had a version of a supplement that made me physically ill. They did not have Ensure or Boost - both of which are fine by me. I was water logged from getting 7 to 9 IVs a day, each one a half liter or a liter. That was besides drinking 3 liters of water a day besides milk. You should have seen how much output was from my kidneys at one time . . .
