Six tanks seems like overkill at this stage of the game (and now he'll have to rebuild one). This means fewer tech advances for the Jerries (early investments ensure that one can keep ahead of the tech curve for pretty much the entire game).

No reinforcements for the Chinese this turn. There won't be any until November at the earliest.

The Chinese come under attack all along the line. However the attacks in the far north and Central China cause only light damage.

In the south as ever, the focus of Japanese attention is both Nanning and the corps to the north. together with probes towards Chungking/Kweichow.

All damage should be repairable, but I feel the need to bring 4th Army into the front line.

The French didn't surrender. Perhaps I should have delivered those aircraft....

The remaining British try and escape - the HQ is back in the UK but the BEF remains in France. The Italians push into France.

France falls. The remaining BEF unit makes it back to Blighty.

I say YES to this, but I don't think its much of a decision to be made.

This picture is taken after the reinforcement phase. I've been able to build my depleted units back up, but I have to assume that the pressure will be maintained.....

I'm not really feeling the naval game at the moment. I've no idea what is going on - only that I have a load of units spread all over the place. I feel disaster is about to strike in the desert but not idea how to stop it. I'll have a think about this.

I say NO to attacking the French Fleet and no to attacking Dakar.

Things take a distinct turn for the worse in China with the loss of 4th Army....

I am not sure why that one was so easy, I thought terrain, supply and a limited number of attacking units would have saved the army but.....

I finally get my bottom in gear and take out the Italian destroyers in the Red Sea. I also begin the attack on Massawa...

The Afrika Korps will soon be making its presence felt....

In China I now have infantry weapons researched. I upgrade the units I can not in enemy ZOC. That leaves 6 vulnerable this turn but we'll have to see what happens.

The turn is little more than just upgrading and reinforcing everything in sight...

The Japanese caused some losses to my front line units. Where possible I've replaced this with upgraded units. However a newly arrived and reconstituted 4th Army has arrived without the upgrade, and the valiant defenders of Nanning remain in original spec too.

The remainder of the turn continues the policy of reinforcing and upgrading anything and everything I can. Research and purchasing have largely gone out of the window for the moment.

The Japanese continue to pound away around Nanning, but further north they seem to have decided to move into the mountains between Chungking and Ichang.
