Moving HQ stacked with combat units

When selecting all the units in a hex and and moving them multiple hexes, the game moves the units one at a time. If one of the selected units is an HQ and the game moves it last, it can become stuck due to adjacent enemy units. Since undo is frequently unavailable, this leaves the HQ hung out to dry.

The units could be moved one hex at a time as a workaround, but it would be nice if either the units could truly move together rather than one at a time or if the user interface would not allow a multi-hex movement that the HQ would not be allowed to execute.

I'm curious if other players have encountered this and maybe have other suggestions. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong.

Move the units one at a time rather than as a stack. Moving a stack with a mix of motorized and foot units is not a good idea anyways as it will take the higher MP cost and the lower MP to calculate the possible moves.

I did try that, but moving one unit at a time is pretty awkward if you want to move 2 panzer divisions and their HQ many hexes.

I find that moving the units as a stack one hex at a time seems to work ok. At least the HQ doesn't get stuck. It's not ideal though. It would be nice to be able to move the stack the entire distance without leaving the HQ behind. Or maybe the game could just not show movement paths that the HQ will be unable to follow.
