Couple gameplay questions

Post by Jagger2002 »

Is there any way to influence the amount of political points that you receive?

Where do you find the stacking points of a unit?

Jagger,

You can easily do it by loading a scenario and choosing Simple Editor. Then choose the Tables tab at the top of the screen. Then, choose Table 29, the PP Rewards table, and make your edit on the spreadsheet using the Edit Cell option at bottom right.

However, you may want to then save the Library with another name, and then the scenario with another name. I am still experimenting, and my version beta 0.96 (review copy) you will overwrite the vanilla file(s). Again, that is just my experience, but right now looks like I need to re-install the game to get my vanilla files back because I did not do the saving properly.

Best wishes!

Thanks. Although my questions are more in game. Is there something I can do to increase political points as I am playing the game? Or are political points set by scenario? They will match as set by the scenario and I have to live with the numbers I have.

Yes Jagger, you can change PP easily using the Cheat Engine utility. It's very easy to use and can come in handy when testing many games.

Do a web search to download it, and PM me and I can "show" you how it is used if you are interested. It works well with lots of games.

Think he's asking if while playing the game you can increase the PP you earn each turn. When i searched the manual i didn't come up with anything. Looks like you spend PP's on forming battlegroups. To use cards you spend command points that leaders earn each turn, and i see no way to increase that.

The manual is available to download from the product page.

You can often win more PP by taking cities. Or also lose them if the enemy takes it back. Which cities is written somewhere in the briefings (can't check in game right now)

I thought the same but couldn't find anything in the manual about it. You get VP's for cities, not sure about PP's

On Political Points (PP), it states in game that you use Political Points for Regime Action Cards or to make decisions. And I also noticed it costs PP to form kampgruppes which may fall under the decision category. I don't know if there are other actions that also require PP points. I am currently playing Skyline Drive scenario. I am getting messages that I have received 4 PPs because I own Donnage, IIRC. So just wondering if I capture or control other cities or take other actions, will I gain additional PP points? Basically I don't know the source of Political points and what factors increase or decrease PPs.

Also I still have not been able to find the stacking information for specific units except by checking hex stacking information. That works fine if only one unit occupies a hex. It doesn't help if multiple units occupy a hex. I would expect to be able to find the information by checking specific unit data but I haven't been able to find that information within unit data. It is important information when it comes to overstacking. Am I just missing the data or is it unavailable within unit data?

You can check the Reports "REPS" to see current scenario bonus PP !

You have to look at the hex stats dropdown. BTW, like my Beutepanzer Bataillon with T-34/76C?😁

Thanks for this one Oberst. I've been trying to assess my staking and didn't know how to find it. So thanks again.

The hex info gives the stacking for all units in the hex. So if only one unit is in the hex, you see what its stacking points. If more than one, you can't determine the individual unit's stacking points. I was wondering if that information was available within unit information. I don't think it is but would be useful.
