“World Divided” a brand new tournament for Strategic Command WWII: War in Europe is about to begin.

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

This will allow those who either are unable to continue or otherwise want to leave (perhaps losing in such a manner that the game is no longer enjoyable) a way out.
Yes, Pleaseeee!!
Myself I was large penalized as I finish my games against Fanir, a hopeless task, but my last opponent stop to play. So I lost a lot of points!!

Honest answer here is I imagine it might be possible, but I don't really know as I unfortunately am also only a guest on the server as well and have no control over its direct functions etc.

I also understand the sentiment on this one too, but it is just also not how the tournaments are designed to function via the server, e.g. how you win and how you lose (losing in a way to deny your opponent points etc.) are both factors as each round is mirrored. The intention really is (as far as I understand) for players to finish their games from start to finish.

Yes, igual know Hubert. Thanks for your answer.
Sadly, not everyone plays until the last bullet. A pity.
Greetings!!

In the '39 scenario what was the ratio of Axis and Allied winners?

That is winners of the game not points.

Just looked at the results for the '39 scenario. It appears that the Axis won overwhelmingly no?

Well I for once would have lost both sides due to very good play by Szensser and due to my own repeated stupidities.
At least for me there is such a thing as "personal morale" lol

Thanks. Against Szensser you won marginally as Axis and lost significantly as Allies is that correct or can you win the tournament game by points and lose the actual game.

With the tournament page only showing scores, how can you tell the results speak to a specific side versus another? I only ask as I'm genuinely curious to see if there is a pattern that can be extrapolated for our research as well.

Thats correct but only because the games did not finish. I think he should have been able to overwhelm my Axis side at some point.
Due to the points system it should be possible to win the tournament even with slightly (not completely) losing the last round. Very unlikely tho.

Still a system with brackets would be better. Each round would need a winner. This is a lot more work for the Admins tho as many disputes may arise.
But the current system is also not very good, if players want to abuse it. In my 1942 match as Allies, GI Joe had his toes in Berlin already, while Axis (knowing that its lost anyway) tried to finally get into Moscow. Which he did like one turn b4 I was able to knock Germany out. Had he stopped playing right there, the score would have been hugely different.
(Fair play to him that he continued of course.)

It is probably not possible to change the official tournaments into brackets. But I would welcome another inofficial tournament beeing played that way. I do not know though how disputes could be handled, should they arise.
