New Balance Thread META

Post by battlevonwar »

So since my last game I've started 3 more ... 2 in the old patch and 1 in the new Patch. All fairly equal opponents!

I am approaching 1863 in the Mirror Game with the equal opponent from 1.1 and these are the results so far:

As the UNION:
I took out New Orleans and Charleston Supply(fairly easy against both if you know what you're doing and you don't really need to take the objectives) but I am finding issues dealing with the Confederates. They have a good deal of Corps and they even killed Grant, despite the fact I had Logistics Tech so he didn't need to be up there. Fighting in Low Supply Regions can be very tricky. Despite this I feel that I am wearing him away. This could be a figment of my imagination but there stands something like 17 dead Union Infantry to 30+ Dead CSA Infantry yet he has A LOT of Units. I am wondering if they're low tech? Despite all this by 1862 I cleared out El Paso now getting my units back I took Norfolk and now I await what he can do to me. I took the Garibaldi Event and boy that guy is pretty sweet to have on your side. . . Even if you remove a bar. I will report on what happens as I progress! (I attempted to take Galveston and the tiny Garrison survived there unfortunately for me but of course my opponent now knows he has to cover every port in the South with 3 or 4 Units if he wants them to be save so I know they're not on the Front Line) We Push in Virginia in 1863 and Kentucky is Free as well... We shall see how the game progresses! Have to take an objective of some significance or he could stalemate me but I think that my Production which is now around 1600+ should mitigate him.

My CSA:

Well, I also have created a lot of Union Corpses here but he is just pumping out the Men. He has the Unit Edge but boy do I have killed a lot. He landed about 7 divisions/Marines/HQ into Mobile region and Florida which is a huge Battle. We trade and it's bloody. We Trade for Nashville and boy it's also bloody. I took Paducah back and kicked him out of Virginia and I've held onto most of my Ports aside that terrible Charleston Fort Pulaski(annoying that you lose the Trade there) wish you could move the trade...

I am trying to just stop him. . . each year I can feel the power behind him! It's getting stronger! I don't know about 1863-1864. It's doubtful that I can keep up with the Tech and NUMBERS!

My 1.2 Opponent:

He chose the CSA and invaded the North which he seems to now regret, he went all the way into PA, and that did nothing but trigger events and I got Level 1 Inf Tech despite that he's resourceful and I've yet to fully evict him but now I'm trying to flank his overextended lines. Innovative General he pulled a fast one quite nearly if I had not thought on my toes. Though now we go into the Long Game and I take Ports!
