Hiya...long time player looking for downloads

Post by rroberson »

Heya...Been playing this game in some form since it was called Uncommon Valor. That's through 3 kids a divorce and some guy from AARP trying to get me to join every month.

Been away from the game for a long time...and was wondering if you guys could steer me to what you feel like are necessary downloads (graphics, beta updates etc) since it has been more than a few years since I fired up WITP AE.

I see they are working on a final beta update and I assume that's not quite ready to release so but beyond that I'm pretty clueless what's out and about.

Thanks in advance.

I'd stick to stock untill you get into it again, expanding into mods once you are.

Easiest way is to go to https://www.matrixgames.com/member/down ... ls-edition and download the latest setup release and update installing both. You will need to log in and have your reg number but if you registered it you will see it as serial number on the previous page.

Once you've done that download and install the Beta patch from here https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 3&t=386537, most I think use it but you don't have to. It does delete the offcial (I think! been a long time since I did it) but creates a new folder installing stuff there with new shortcuts etc.

Finnally, and again not necessary but helps keep track of stuff, download Tracker https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 3&t=165129. This does take a little more installing as it also involves installing Java.

I repeat the last two are not nexessary so you can leave them out until you get the feel of this.

Robert right??? Glad you're back. Its been awhile. You might of known me as "general patton". Yes there is a beta coming soon for the last patch. If you look around the design and modding thread you'll find a lot of stuff. If you want the latest beta, it's stickied in the top of the main thread. Have fun....GP

I suggest that if you have trouble with the game, install it using SeeBee.

https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 4&t=320302

If you have problems, read through the thread and see if someone else had the same problem and was given a solution. Apparently there is now a video made to show how to use SeeBee.
