It would be good if it were turn 3

Here is a bigger picture :-) :D

In front of Brest is;
Biala
Already full :)

Down the rail is Marolita
Already full

Further down the line is Kovel almost full :)

And finally Kivetsy which received good supply. (realize if I removed 4 Army HQ this depot is half full since the capacity will be 10,000)

So, how is the overall supply on just this supply route which has Brest in it?

Further into my game with @Veterin I will post all my rails in my AAR when I am further into the game. I also did this in my Beethoven game too with the Veterin game just a bit different.

Hopefully you all see what I am doing. If not you will have to wait for the AAR for the details. Pretty straight forward idea.

Must you tease us so HLYA. I am guessing you will move those priority 4 depots down to 1 and push everything out north and east for your next large offensive. I will have to check out your AAR. Thanks for posting this and your many other contributions.

I am sorry :(

Not exactly what I am doing. I will say that I do start the game on turn 1 "NOT" building any depots at all. I let the "at start" depots fill up since German units have ample supply in units. I said this long time ago to Joel Billings when discussing "Motorization" (I can get the link if needed) and having all the AP to pay for that. But now I use AP for other things. So I was already testing this out awhile back and have refined this now. Granted you are still limited with how much is sent out each turn. In due time I will explain in detail with maps. Now my disclaimer. I am no expert in this game. Never have been, never will be. I am a beginner! All on this forum much much greater than I ever will be in the game. Use my ramblings at your own risk when I post.

You are welcome. I try and give what little knowledge I do have for others to try and expand on.

At the beginning of my T4 I had the following for Brest:

rec; 14,586
stored: 11,869 (1,847)
sent: 3,740
lost:658
Cap; 55K (4,7800)

In my current game I didn’t record what BL received but I got something like 1.5m of supply out of my NSS over the 6 first turns, which is quite useful

Its probably a bit different to a lot of games because you appear to have built your rail line to Kovel rather than Baranovichi.

I always assumed the best way to go is straight up the double capacity rail line to Minsk. I have never tried Kovel over to Kiev. Is there a consensus on the best use of the AGC FBD?

I always build two double-track railways to Kyiv, as there are usually more supply problems in the south. As a result, one FBD is building a railway through Lviv to Dnepropetrovsk, and the other through Kyiv to Kursk.

It might depend on your goals and the amount of forces you commit to the south. Its a different option.

If those 5 depots represent the sum total of your freight in Soviet depots, it totals 57,723 tons. Certainly more than my 50,618. Keep up the good work.

I am starting a new campaign (against AI). I try to win by the first VP check on T16. Rostov is usually where I fall short as the motorized and panzer divisions are pretty much useless in that area around turn 14 on. I will try this approach. Hopefully the parallel line running Kiew-Poltava-Kharkov will add enough to make things easier. It will hurt my units going to Voronezh and Ryazan, but those two cities have been easier to take than Rostov. Thanks

Troops in the Voronezh area will simply get their supplies through Kyiv, not through Minsk. But in this case, the troops in the Smolensk region will receive less supplies. However, I am not trying to take Moscow in 1941 in my games, I am focusing on Leningrad, Kharkov, Stalino and Sevastopol. These cities are usually much easier to take.

I don't (usually) try for Moscow and I prevent myself from taking Sevastopol by self-imposing a house rule that does not let me use fast units (cavalry, motorized, tank) to advance down to and through the Crimea. So, I need to take Rostov and Ryazan and Voronezh along with everything else to get to the 700 VPs.

The FBD that I will now divert south usually goes through Minsk-Gomel-Bryansk-Orel then heads south. It helps my units pushing to Voronezh and Ryazan. However, I tend to overuse the FBD in AGN by linking a line through Pskov-Luga-Pushkin then final connection of Estonia rail system at Sonda. This is probably overkill and once I get to Luga I will rail the FBD over to the Smolensk area and work a line to Tula. The slog into Leningrad from T11-T15 can most likely be supplied from Luga and Sonda depots along with Tallinn. We shall see....

Railways in the Baltic States and near Leningrad I mainly repair with the help of ordinary RAD units, which I subordinate to one of the armies, usually I leave one of the RНG armies for this. They perfectly restore the railway in the north of Russia.

I do the same. I use the 38th Corps (von Chappuis) and assign the 10 extra OT Construction and RAD units to it. I strip all the SU and units from the corps and just use it to repair. The Baltic area can be all cleaned up around T13.

In regard to SUs not adding much CV. I agree. The CV is minimal but depending on the size of the battle the SUs may provide around a 1/3 of the disruptions. How increased disruptions translates to wining a battle I honestly don't know. I am guessing that they help reduce your losses while increases the enemy's losses. Just a guess though.

The army is more convenient for railway repair. The hull has a command radius of only 5 hexes, and there simply may not be many repairable rail hexes in that radius, and many of your RAD units will be idle without work. Even an army with a command radius of 15 hexes may not have enough hexes available to repair all RAD units.
