US transfer of supplies via Iran (Persia) to USSR question

I realize the USA has to be fully mobilized (in the war) and the decisions for the UK and USSR to occupy Persia are implemented for the transfer to proceed turn by turn.

Question is if Iraq is neutral, pro-Allied, and the pro-Allied convoy from Iraq to UK is running from Basra..will the MMPs to the USSR start to flow once the USA is in the war but Iraq is still neutral but still Pro-Allied?

Hi Mike

The USA cannot send MPPs to the USSR via this method unless the whole route between Bushehr and Baku is in Allied hands, i.e. having both Iraq and Persia as neutral but pro-Allied is not enough, they have to either have joined the Allies or have surrendered to them, so that the Allies have full control of this route.

Well, I may have to consider attacking Iraq, as my opponent hasn't been ambitious with Egypt...and the Iraqi's haven't been stirred up. A bit of a dilemma as we would have to take Iraq quick to get the Iraq-UK convoy back up after shutting it down by wardec-ing Iraq. But alas...the Soviets need the money.
