Question about convoys and NM

US has a convoy route to Australia.
Obviously, raiding it lowers the NM of Australia.
But does the act of sending a convoy from US to Australia raise NM for Australia? If not, can that be set up in a script? Can it be set up so that the more mpps sent, the higher NM goes each turn? (1mpp = 10 NM, 10mpp = 100 NM)? Not looking for one time boost bonus, but the small boost to NM every turn there is an active convoy.

In the Pacific mod (which is a great mod, devs), it was evident that there is little use in sending convoys from the US to other countries. So I'm trying to think of another reason to send convoys to allied countries other than the ol' 2:1 bonus.

The convoy itself won't raise the recipient's NM, and it's not really possible to have it do so I'm afraid.
