Games similar to Shadow Empire Recommendations

Would like some suggestions for games that are similar to level of depth and complexity to Shadow Empire. I open to all genres. Thank you.

Advanced Tactics Gold, from the same Developer (VRDesigns), is somewhat similar, just set in ww2, and has mods that can set it elsewhere too.

Hmm.. Complex Globalstrategy games. Well Sadow Empire is more or less almost unmatched currently.

You might have a look for Distant Worlds 2 und Supreme Ruler Ultimate/Supreme Ruler 2030.

The Power & Revolution Series (on Steam) is also extreme deep and complex but kinda buggy. Its workable though but I advise only to buy in a sale.

Finaly have a look for Terra Invicta (also on Steam). Kinda deep and special as well but still in early access (development).

Sid Meier's Civilization series reinforced with mods. Some years ago I used to play Civ4:BtS Caveman2Cosmos. Here's a summary how it went down, and hopefully gives you a general idea about mod's depth and complexity.

Actually there are 4:

DC: Warsaw to Paris
DC: Case Blue
DC: Barbarossa
DC: Ardennes

But yes, it is the same dev.
