Advisors in War

Post by Schatten »

Can you pls overwork the Advisors? There is a war ongoing but them keep spam * advices* of sending a Defense Fleets froma frontier Planet to * investigate* something at exactly other side of the Empire while literally 3 Systems next to the location a exactly same defense Fleet sits idle.
They have to watch for Wars and Range.

Also pls just already delete this *Mining rights* shit already or make it so that you can disable it. Most annpying and usless thing in the wohle Game since day 1.

Yes 100% agreed. As I mentioned before, it would be excellent to be able to set policies for fleet missions on a per fleet basis. I don't want my defence fleets to do stupid stuff (abandon their post to kill space monsters, chase freighters, fuel tankers, etc.), I want my specialised critter clearers to do that.
More control over the parameters the automation operates under would be highly welcome.

A second adviser that needs a MAJOR overhaul is the Enemy Targets queuing interface and filters in the control centre. The diplomatic definition of what constitutes an enemy does not agree with my definition as the human player, and there does not appear to be any rhyme or reason to the often incomplete list of potential targets, which often is missing key targets I am interested in attacking.

Another area that needs improvement is finding stuff where other empires have built bases. E.g. finding research locations, key resources, etc.

I do agree that some filters or options to restrict fleet missions more would be nice. The AI could also be a bit better at always prioritise fleets that are closer to the target.

With that said there are many ways to mitigate most if the issues, such as lower engagement ranges, smaller and more defence fleets etc. These things will generally make the defence fleets more efficient.

We've received feedback over the years that the advisor system does need improvement. This is an area we're intending to revisit sometime in the future.

For the Diplomatic * Mining Rights Advice * you dont need to overwork anything just make here checkboxes where you can enable/disable this suggestion for your and AI Advisers and problem is solved with this annyoing stuff.
