An automated colonizer, Tarnished Subterfuge, wants to colonize Diltak 1, which is one of our colony!

Not sure when it got that mission, but it would be nice if the information that the planet is already a colony would be “sent” to the colonizer before it reaches the planet. Otherwise, it’s a big waste of time, during which the colonizer could have been colonizing another planet.

Ditak 1 only has 50M population, so it looks like it was just colonized, meaning it is very possible both ships (the ship that just colonized it plus the active one) were given the same mission and one of them won. I agree that it would be best if the trailing ship had its orders updated, but depending on where it is in transit, it might make sense that it doesn't "get the memo" until it gets closer, and at that point, it'll probably still continue the journey to refuel at the new colony as it awaits further orders. It is also possible that Ditak 1 was the only currently Ackdarian-suitable uncolonized planet, so the orders haven't updated because it wants to unload the Ackdarians at a good home (and Ditak 1 would be a great candidate here, really needing more suitable population) before heading off to load up a different faction.

Anyway, just speculating. It may indeed point to an underlying issue that needs a look, but the surface factors make it look like a "working as intended in an unlikely circumstance" sort of situation.

I have seen two colonizers going for the same planets a few times, I think this is a bug and should be reported.

I noticed that too for recently colonized planets when the empire is quite big. Seems like if you have big amount of colony ships, they sometimes get the same orders. Also, such planets are usually still listed in the "new colonies" tab with my flag and character. Seems like there's some delay in recalculating new targets for colonization and/or updating ship commands and/or UI. The ship doesn't really colonize already colonized planet, it reaches it, then gets new orders and leaves.

This behavior (cannot say it's a "bug") has been here for a while.
