Diplomacy discrepancy ?

Diplomacy discrepancy ?

What is the reason for the discrepancy you seen on the diplomatic relations screen and what is in the Ambassador character screen. for example, Ambassador Arak does not even have diplomacy listed under skills. when i look at a specific empire in my diplo relations screen and see his card on a specific empire, it says he is giving plus 20 diplomacy. or Amb Hodol who is giving plus 24 to a Harkonish empire , but on his character sheet he has plus 8.

Check empire modifier for diplomacy.
