US Navy Logistics with Drachinifel

Post by Treetop64 »

Drachinifel, and Sal from What's Going On with Shipping, talk about US Navy (and Army) logistics during the Pacific war.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peOscV4ZFM0&t=13s

I usually don't have the patience to sit through most podcast type discussions, but this one is excellent. Sal is so comfortably knowledgeable on the topic. A discussion that most here will appreciate.

Thanks Treetop, I spotted this last night at work but haven't watched yet. You wouldn't think logistics could be interesting, but Beans, Bullets & Black Oil really opened my eyes to just how underprepared the US was for a Pacific war.
Great stuff.

Great stuff.
Seems (kindle version) Beans, Bullets & Black Oil is $5.15 on Amazon, i have to get that.

I like Kindle since it lets me read easier when travelling.

You actually don't own the kindle books, you rent them. They can pull the book at any time that they want to do so.

There is some flexibility with platforms. I order on my PC from Amazon, but have it set up to be accessible from my iPad Pro.
It is called the Kindle store but there are options.

It is bit like loaning a book from library.

But price is decent.

And to add, convenient.
