Overlord Introduction to scenarios

The battle for Hill 20 at Sainte-Mere_Eglise sounds like a good one. Raff was thinking good tactics but had bad luck with the flanking attack around the hill. That is a rare case where the Americans failed an attack in this early Overlord era. The 82nd were a dangerous bunch and quite merciless too. In that scenario we play as the Americans? It must be nearly impossible to win if it is same as historical.

Indeed, in this scenario, playing as the American side is recommended, just like in the original Advanced Squad Leader scenario.

As I do in all scenarios, I usually balance the composition of the defending side's units so that both sides have a chance to win, although the American commander has to use some "imagination" to capture the Victory Hexes. Note that, despite the advantage of the American tanks, bocage plays a very important role in the game.
