Supplying the Philippines

The Allies hold all the hexes in the Philippines, all ports, etc., and I can't send a convoy there to supply them. What's the trick?

I also hold several ports in China, including Hong Kong, but can't send them supplies either (except those scripted via the Burma Road and Ledo Hump).

If the Japanese block the ports you can't supply them.

Otherwise you have to send your fleet there to protect the port and kill the enemy fleet.

The USA shouldn't be able to challenge the Japanese early in 1942 that close to their homelands

Hmm… I don’t see any Japanese units near Hong Kong - either on land or at sea - and I completely own the Philippines. (Pic attached).

That said, I’m still running into the same issue — I can’t send supplies/oil to China or the Philippines. When I try to create a convoy (from US or UK), I get the message: “No convoy or rail route available.”

I’m not sure if the intent is that these areas can’t be supplied this early in the war — which is fair enough — or if I’m just missing some mechanic or prerequisite. Trying to understand what’s going on behind the curtain.

Side note: thanks for taking the time to respond so quickly! I'm sure it's a ton of work managing a game of this scale (and apparently working on Warplan 2 to boot!)

So whether I can supply China/Philippines or not, keep up the great work!
