Selecting units

Post by Numdydar »

I cannot figure out how to select units in a stack. If I have four units in a hex, how do I choose the third one for example.

Also, the window pane on the right that shows all the units in a hex goes away when I move the cursor off the hex.

I read the manual, but I must have missed something as I cannot figure this out, It has to be easier than what I am experiencing.

Hi,

If you're using click move (as oppose to drag and drop) then once you've clicked on the stack, you can change the selected unit by clicking a unit in the smaller right hand panel like this:

You can select all the units in a hex by pressing that F button (or using the hotkey F when the cursor is over the stack), and then you can unselect units from that stack by clicking on them in the small panel (to select e.g. 3 of 4 units in a stack to move).

By the way, the unit selected is the unit under the cursor. So here below the cursor is over the HQ unit in the stack (the brighter one). If I left click that stack, the move options will open with that HQ unit selected.

That right hand panel shows the units that are under the cursor, unless the hex fixed (with the F key I mentioned above). The reason for this is to show you what the destination hex contains when you are moving your units.

Hope this helps!
