Reporting Wishlist

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

Reporting Wishlist

Post by Q-Ball »

Hello! Not sure how practicle/feasible there are, but here are some additions I would like to see on reporting. Anyone else?

1. TOTAL MEN ON EACH SIDE ADDED TO COMBAT REPORT: This was a feature in WITP-AE, seems like it should be added.
2. ON COMBAT REPORT, adjustments to combat power from supply, terrain, leadership, etc, as a + or -. Again, this was in WITP-AE
3. Report that would show total men on map for each nation.
4. Total men losses to-date reported in Loss Screen (not just ships and planes)

I'll come up with others, but that's off the top of my head........

Remember that casualties could mean KIA, WIA, and/or MIA/POW.

Sure, whatever is easiest, it would be good if there was a running loss tally somewhere for ground units/devices

I would simply say, report everything that involves numbers

I will always advocate for historical wargames to embrace displaying numbers wherever possible. Numbers help tell the story as events unfold.

I'd go even further and state that most accept any lack of visual graphics because in fact numbers are the only visuals we really need.

Naturally, I speak only for myself.

There should be export files that can be loaded into a spreadsheet and if that information is included, then the running tally could be kept.

Hello

Combat Report
, Operation Report and "Status Report":

Locations and units create a link... when you click on it move to the map (location) or open the units display...

When a unit comes in you can click on it in the Operations Report and it will bring you to the base. You can click on any of those places mentioned in the Operations Report and it should take you to the base. Hit the "home" to center the map there. Hit "P" or "p" to get the combat reports on the screen.
