"Typical" Turn Resolution Time

Post by scout1 »

Potentially interested in this title but need to ask an unfair question whose first answer is "It depends" ... I get this ....

Running it with DxWND, what is a typical time duration for completing a turn ?

Yeah I get this is a damn broad question which has a lot of factors in play .... but read a thread here where a player indicated he is not exceeding 4 hrs now (w/DxWND) and seemed proud how fast it was ....

Just trying to gauge how much screen time is typically needed per turn ... for reference I played WiTP-AE for several years

As the attacker it depends on how many missions you're creating. If you're not doing a very complicated set up you can do this in 5-10 minutes. Then there's turn execution. This depends mainly on the level of detail. If you set messages to 0 it can complete in a few minutes. Going through with messages =2 can take say 10 minutes depending on how busy it is.

Then for the defending player - it depends really on how hands on you want to be. You can set commands to auto intercept or control them manually. If you want to control manually you can do a turn in say 10-20 mins?

In my experience turns in EDBTR are normally a lot quicker than WITP.

Hope this helps.
