Abandoning and then re-mounting vehicles

Abandoning and then re-mounting vehicles

Post by Anonymous Sender »

Ok, 2-part question here...

All vehicles which have been abandoned are counted as destroyed at the end of the scenario. Is that all ENEMY vehicles which have been abandoned, or does that include friendlies (which presumably would be recovered/refurbished/repaired/etc.), too?

Also, how does one go about getting a crew which bailed-out back into it's vehicle?

The abandoned should be counted as destroyed for the size that owns the least victory objectives
To put the crew back, let them 1 turn not moving, unsuppressed and with no enemy in sight in the same hex as the vehicle.

Thanks OdB

And yes, what I really meant by enemy was "loser" and friendly was "victor"...heh, just a little egotistical assumption on my part

No, the way it works is that abandoned vehicles upon which an enemy infantry unit has ended their turn are counted as destroyed, if the wreck can be protectd from "spiking" by enemy infantry, then it only counts as damaged, if it can't and the enemy ends the turn in the hex, then it is counted as destroyed.

It is assumed that vehicles are more concerned about live enemy vehicels and let the grunts take of verifying the abandoned ones are taken care of. (THe game engine prevents an abandoned vehicle from being targeted, but a scenario based workaround of sorts is featured in the Lost Victories MC.)
