Some Help/Informations please....

Post by murx »

Having played the game now for over a week now and read and re-rad the manual several times (it seems it has little information but the information given is at least three times in there...) I still hav several serious questions :

For stacking & PzCorps :

Artillery, Flak and seperate StuG, Jpz or ATG Bn count as stacking 0 ?

Are Cavalry units (ex. th Rumanian Cavalry Div) same as Motorized for readiness losses in PzCorps (moving 5 plots) ?

Shattered/surrendered

If, where, when, under what circumstances are these Divisions rebuild ? Or do I only receive the 'container' corps back ?

Blizzard & Bombard...

Now this seems to be seriously bugged !
I tried (as German) atillery bombard under blizzard conditions. Now that only a fraction of artillery pieces fired was at least logical (logistics, ammo and operating arty under that conditions are probably hard), but what really annoys me (would like to say 'pisses me off') is the damaged delivered/received. It seems that the damage is quadrupled for the Russian side !
Now this mighte even be true for 'tanks' and AT/FlaK guns supporting the barrage (as they have to get in LOS and are easy targets) but not for the arty themselves.
I think only the number of arty firing should be (re)calculated under blizzard - but neither side should gain anything on the damage roll - at least for arty (still tanks etc could get additional damage).

Comments on the last issue welcome...

Yes.

Eventually yes, I believe the next version of the game will treat cavalry as "motorized".

The divisions will come back almost immediately, on the second turn after destruction I believe, even if they surrendered. The divsions will come back with no equipment though, so it'll take some time to rebuild them.

The losses to arty are mainly from counter-battery fire, so even arty not in LOS of the enemy can be attacked and destroyed.

And shattered units will return with a percentage of their equipment still available, so they will be ready more quickly. The maximum percentage was reduced in the current release as Soviet units shattered on the first turn were returning with an average of almost 60% of their tanks, which was not historical. Now it is more like 30%.
