Request to consider new BB software

Post by Crimguy »

To the fine folks at Matrix:

I really like ASP Playground in Internet Explorer. Problem is, I use Firefox most of the time, Safari or Konqueror some of the time, IE never (well, only at work and I am supposed to be working :-D).

I know I'm not alone in using Firefox, and it just doesn't work right on your forums.

Please consider some of the other options out there. Even for a high-traffic site, the software is relatively cheap. SMF is particularly inexpensive and works great across all browsers.

Thx for the consideration

I use Firefox too and don't really see anything going hideously wrong. What kind of problems are you experiencing?

Well, almost all of our staff, me inlcuding, uses Firefox and the webdevs too. What´s your problems? you mean the occasional "back button" problem. That´s a bug in Firefox I experience on other websites too once in awhile.

We will stay with ASP Playground sinc eit offers us much more flexibility, is more stable, faster and more secure then other board software. We have been trought a few other applications allready [;)]

Yeah it's the same old back button issue on Firefox. I've noticed it doesn't work at all after I've posted a response. Also, other times when I hit "back," I have to hit it twice to get it going.

On any KHTML-based browsers, it's impossible ot logon or use any of the user options at the top of the page.

Is ASPLayground aware of this? I was always under the impression that ASP itself is MS-centric . . .

True, Back button is broken, and I have never seen the issue on other websites.
