French SPWAW patch problem ?

French SPWAW patch problem ?

After a hard time downloading the full SPWAW 5.01 version (a little tip for those who are, like me, behind a proxy : GetRight, once properly configured, works well, but I had no luck with NetVampire or Download Accelerator), I downloaded all the patches, as well as the french language patch.

I am now at version 5.3 (6.0 not tested yet), and trying the french version. Everything seems OK until I launch a game : the terrain looks like garbage, everything seems to be randomly mixed. The units are correctly displayed, though. Of course, I do not have this problem with the english version.

Did I miss something ? Any hint would be appreciated ...

Try deleting the steel.prf file from within the /save directory and then restart the game.

Thanks for your answer, but anyway, for what I saw of the french translation, I think I'll stay with english version ...
