Movement tutorial

Post by caine »

Hello,

I have tried with the original version from the CD to run the movement tutorial and after sending a German infantry unit to Southern Italy in strategic deployment, the screen jumps to Norway and tells something about a chain of units. It is impossible to go on, at least I am unable to.

Thanks

Santi

The tutorial has a problem with the international version of WaW. On some (maybe all) systems the red "help lines" do not show up. This is obviously must unfortunate and should be fixed with the next patch.

In the attached screen shot you should be able to see what the next step in the tutorial is. Mind, I am guessing that this is where you ran into a problem - please do post again if my guess was incorrect so we can get you past the trouble spot.

Hi Caine

It seems to me that you skipped the two steps prior to that screen shot where you are told to
1. Select one of the heavy air by left clicking on it
2. Attach the paratrooper to the heavy air by right clicking on it (mind, RIGHT click, not left click).

If you had done that you should be able to make the paradrop on Norway. Unfortunately, I am not able to read Spanish but I am fairly certain thats where you are in the tutorial.

I hope this works for you.

Hi Jan,

Yes, it seems the problem was solved in this way. After invading Norway it seems the tutorial ends, is it correct?

Thanks

Hi Caine,

I just installed the Spanish version of the game. Unfortunately, it seems whatever person was assigned to translating the tutorial to Spanish did a very poor job. To make a long story short - its simply not working in Spanish.

Unsatisfactory as it may be I suggest you select English as language and then try the same tutorial. As far as I can tell that one actually works as intended. There is infact a good deal more to the tutorial than the faulty Spanish version is willing to show.

I have passed the problem on to the developers to handle as they see fit. If I was the person responsible for the translation I would start running. [X(]

Aye, I noticed the error page too.

I dont think it matters if you play in English or in Spanish apart from the tutorials though - but I am not 100% certain.

I am glad we managed to somewhat solve your problem.
