If you install Spartan, then install Troy, you will find the Spartan scenarios included in the Troy menu..you only need to use Troy at that point....

Ahh, so GoT is a stand - alone, but also an upgrade of Spartan?

By the way, does GoT have a long scenario that takes you through the Gree-Persian War (about 500BC to 470BC?)

I bought Gates of Troy, I love it!

However, The campaigns that start in 1500BC - Colonization, and the other 'Very Long' campaigns....Just how many years can play through?

Also, the one scenario I was hopping for dosen't appear to be there - The Persian War 490-470?

I don't think there's a specific Persian War campaign. However, if you just start a standard campaign in Greece and leave Persia alone for a while, it becomes similar to the historical one.

Gratuitous advice: cash is king, find and develop those gold and silver mines. It's a great game, enjoy.

Hmm, ok.

last question - how many years will a "very Long campaign" go?

There are no time limits so you can play as long as it takes for you to triumph ... or die ;)

Its really a design decision - the battle system wouldnt work as it does now. We have an always active system where whenever you fight you opponent takes control of the enemy troops so there is no fighting against the AI while you opponet sits and waits.

Well, you could perhaps have the active battleing player fight the AI when non-players are involved - and have the other players view the battle from a passive mode ...as spectators.

One of the key things I have heard a lot of players want (in all LAN/Internet games) is the capability for "cooperative" play, the ability to be allies against the AI or other humans.

Just food for thought.
