This mod looks amazing. Will it work with War Plan Orange or will you need to have a copy of WITP?

I wholeheartedly applaud your tremendous efforts, but I have to disagree with the philosophy of only opening North Africa, Malta, and Continental Italy to land combat. (For one thing, does Sicily count as "Continental Italy"?) Surely Crete has to be "in play"; the assault nearly failed, and had Crete remained in Allied hands it would have been much easier to run convoys from Alexandria to Malta. Also, significant troops and other resources had to be used to garrison Sardinia (for a few days the Germans believed it was the target of "Operation Torch"), and the island did in fact pass to Allied control in October 1943.

Also, how are you handling the FX1400 and Hs293 radio-controlled bombs? Are they devices like the Ohkas?

I'm now very busy in personal and work affairs. The mod will be released more later, sorry. May be february.

To Capt.Harlock: the mod really is not only open to north africa, Malta and Continental Italy. There are a lot of bases in Sardinia, Corsica, Sicily (of course), Albainia,Greece, Crete, Chipre and some islands in dodecanese.
Would be decision of the players "home rules" decide how to use those bases.
Example: In a test im play now, i sugested my rival do not use the french bases in Tunisia and Algeria until november 42 (he is allied side), and by my side cannot send troops to those bases before the allied take Oran or Algiers.
In another home rule, the allies only can invade Crete/Greece/Sardinia/Corsica after all bases in north africa are in allied hands.
It's up to player to choose the better "home rules".

fremen,

I'm suprised that Matrix & 2by3 haven't contacted you to help you do this like they did with Tankerace and WPO. I know if they did I would buy it.

I'm looking forward to your mod.

Well, i very tired. So many months in development this mod and many many work.
I'm now fully busy testing the mod with some people and I'm very aware this testing will continue many many weeks in the future.

The mod however is fully operational because the worst "bugs" are hard coded features of the original WITP and i don't know how to correct.
In spite this, the game runs and is playable.

Then, i have decide RELEASE the mod anyway next week, monday. The file size is around 60 MB and will be in the sendspace page.
The beta versión is 1.02.

Fremen.

what about matrix and 2by3 getting involed into this project? As far as I see the data, scenario and graphics are done, so matrix should only provide a modified witp exe to get it working. I 'm more than willing to pay for this and suppose there are a lot of people interested too

Not that simple. War Plan Orange started life as a WitP mod, but took a loooooooooooooong time to finish. No such thing as "matrix should only provide a modified witp exe to get it working"...

Not that I get a vote, but I would prefer to focus any available resources on improving (I did not say "fix") WITP itself.
