TURN 46-Africa
The 2 cities in green are Algiers in the North and Tripoli in the south.
The battle plan here is for Rommel to proceed south from Tunis which the Africa corps has just captured and capture Tripoli.
The Army you see on the left is the 20th corps. The 20th was left behind to mop up some French units in the area.
Now that the 20th has completed that task it will proceed towards Tripoli using the Southern route which will open a second road for supplies out of Algiers to travel on.
This is an insurance policy in case an invasion from the sea takes the coastal road while Rommel is down in Tripoli.

Looks like you got a winner in choosing Spain.  Any sightings of the Sleeping Bear yet?  I see his country on the loacation map, but havent spotted any toops.  I bet the vikings are fighting in the east with his forces - lucky for you I'd say.

Good show!

No sign of the Russians yet Rick. I expect they'll keep pushing west though and I'll meet them somewhere in Germany or Poland.[:D]

Seems like when the AI is locked in battle with multiple opponents, instead of repairing damaged unit it builds new ones.
There are a lot of fragmented units in the Vikings Army. By that I mean units with 10 or less sub formations in them. The result is half or more of the AI's Army is coming at me piece meal.

 HMMM.
Maybe another alternative to repairing damaged units is to have the AI disband the unit if it goes below a certain % of loss. Say if the AI looses 60 % of the sub formations in that unit. Then it removes the remaining sub formations, which go back to there HQ and uses them to build new Armies.
 that's an alternative perhaps.
The AI does seem pretty good about not sending Air units out to fight piece meal though.

TURN 48
Rommel approaches Tripoli... The 20 corps to the East has found more renegade French units and is still being held up from joining the rest of the Africa Corps.
Pretty quiet in Europe. Pounded a few Viking units with Air and Arty barrages. They were trying to converge on Geneva.

TURN 49
All of the 1st MA except for 2 units is in France now. There has been an increase in activity with Vikings as I continue to pound them with long range attacks.
The Vikings moved in some fighters once again and intercepted many of my missions. Munich was leveled by spanish heavy bombers.
-In Africa Rommel is surrounding Tripoli and softening the city with Air and arty attacks.

You can see here how effective my bombing missions were as well as how affective his fighters were at intercepting them.

TURN 50
Rommel continues to pound Tripoli with long range attacks.
High command accuses Rommel of being afraid of assalting Tripoli. Some are even suggesting he can't take Tripoli at all.
Rommel says Tripoli will fall when it is ready to fall. He sends a letter directly to Franco himself, saying that the defences of Tripoli have not yet been softened enough to launch a succesful assalt on the city.
Franco orders the Chief of staff to trust Rommel and give him more time.
