RE: Panzer Command: Kharkov Impressions

I have had this game for about 3 months, but did not even start playing until today. This is one cool game. I have never had a 3D ground game before. I thought those would be better suited for my 15 year old son-in this case at least, I was wrong.
I just finished the tutorial, so I have a ways to go, but it looks fairly simply to turn thoughts into action. I have to say that the graphics are superb, the incoming rockets is really something-and trees, vehicles and all. The ease of map viewing is nice too, however, I think I will make a personal rule that after the action starts, I will keep a view from a tank commanders hatch. When I accidentally put myself inside, I couldn't help but to smile.
The start/stop sequence is a little strange, but no doubt there are shortcuts.
So far, this looks like a great game. No doubt I'll get more than my moneys worth.
Edit: I just noticed I can't stay in the vehicle, but I can hang out right behind it easy enough-that'll work.
