As Beauregard's army moved out to strike at Corinth, news reached him from Richmond - an armistice is signed! Final peace negotiatons are underway, the war is over.
James played a terrific game and I was never able to recover from the mistakes I made in 1861 and 1862.
We're going to have a rematch of course and I hope I'll be able to represent the Union a bit better this time.
