HiHi
Right folks as we seem to be getting nowhere fast, lets bite the bullet.
I have emailed Russia asking him to check in,
Andrew, Terrje you both OK if we change to Advanced Econ? the SE rules for PBEM are as Mus suggested boring.
If anyone is prepared to give IW a break (he's already playing france in another game) please offer Now!
Subject to the above being OK here's how I see it
We start again using Advanced econ.
So we are playing 1796, Advanced econ, over 19yrs, Highest glory wins.
If no offer comes in for france today the the line up will be,
Me as Spain
Andrew as Sweden
Terje as Austria
Mus as England
Lenin as Prussia
JJdenver as Russia
IW as france
AI as Turkey.
If anyone has serious objections to the above please raise doubts now, otherwise, lets get going!
All the Best
Peter

Glad we are playing with advanced economy. It's tricky to begin with, but you'll get the hang of it in a turn or two and won't look back.
Three cheers for IW - he's France again.

Hehe thanks lenin, and thanks Kingmaker for getting this outlined/clarified... I wasn't quite sure if we had a full house or still had an AI. Looks like Turkey is still AI then.
So... I'll get started on my turn today. I'm glad to see Advanced Econ make it in as well. [:)]
1796
20 years
2000 glory
AI Turkey
Advanced Economy
I believe I have everyone's email, I'll try to get it sent sometime today.

advanced economy is fine by me, is what I use in games vs the AI anyway.

Russia checking in. I'm fine w/ whatever the group decides on econ. I have no experience w/ the game in any case but I'm sure I can muddle along whatever you all decide. Just let me know when we are ready to roll. Looking forward to learning some stuff.

HiHi
Bad news for you Terje, we have a Turkey

... no lets rephrase that shall we, we have someone willing to play Turkey.
Bill could you please send the 1st turn to Matto, he's OK to play Turkey, cheers.
PS just thought, Terje, if having a Human player now compromizes some of your initial moves re-do your turn and resend.
All the Best
Peter

Cool!!
I actually prefer this, seemed somewhat unfair for me to be the closest neighbour to the AI. And nah, I'm allready tied up in a war with France, so no moves against Turkey so far [;)]

I got the file. This first turn you'll have to be a little patient with me as I haven't done advanced economy before. I'm going to have to spend some time studying it. Once I've done a turn or 2 w/ adv econ I should be able to speed up a lot I think.

Sirs, we have some problem with joining me ... because fist turn was created and send before, we have now three possibilities:
1. play without me (I do not have any problem with it)
2. play first turn without me and before second turn send me ALL files ... but we are still not sure, If will be possible change Ottomans AI to Human ... if not, rule is 1.
3. start it again

I vote for 3. Would much rather have a full game, and would be glad to have you join us Matto.
One thing we might want to do is finish sending this turn to Kingmaker and see if he is indeed able to merge the files. Then I'd be up for restarting with Matto.

HiHi
Ditto IWs comments, I too would rather have a Full house and if IW is OK about setting up again lets do it, apart from france, I only have 3 sets of files at the moment so it only those, namely England, Prussia & Austria who would have to re-do again ... again

If those 3 are OK about redoing then lets just go with restarting with a full house we can fret about 'non merger' later, if we get one.
All the Best
Peter

Im fine with another restart.
Its still only first turn after all. Literally nothing has happened.
I DO wish it was possible in some way to save scenario start advanced economy labor allocation by country. Doing that is somewhat tedious.
PS For some reason England starts 1796 with an idiotic small detachment of ships off Brest blockading a Huge 30+ ship French Fleet. Run Away! Run Away!

I'm good with restarting, no big issue setting up the provinces etc anyway. Just send me a new file.
