In the smoke is 1 panther 1 Nashorn & as you can see a Flame Halftrack just to the left. All of these are my own tanks & the Nashorn & the Flame Halftrack would be destroyed. The Panther would survive for 1 more try on this map.
I was trying to keep the Flame Halftrack out of the way of Dun's Tank..there in the road.
The panther has had it at this point & i'm trying to nail him with the Nashorn.
The Hotel in the North would change hands a few times..but in the end Dundradal would keep that VL.
Yep it turned into one giant scrap yard. This is the only pic i got of this map.

We, without question, had our best battles on this map. Damp is selling himself short here. In order to kill that Nashorn and flame halftrack took probably 4-5 minutes. I had to take some pretty big risks in order to do it. In Damp's picture in the upper right, in that small gap, I had snuck a T-34 into that small courtyard and then turn it to the south to get the shot. I was petrified that he had an AT squad in one of those nearby buildings and that the tank would get brewed up.

The battle for the hotel...ha! What a battle! The VL probably changed hands 5-6 times at least! In the last minute it changed hands at least 3 times. I only held onto it with a single man!

Our problem is we get so caught up in the battle we forget to take screenshots. I also have my resolution set really high so I have to crop all my ingame shots really small in order to post them. Damp is running at a lower resolution so can get the good battle shots.

Damp is also playing down how much he's learned since our first battle more than a month ago. I've been teaching him along the way and the lessons are definitely starting to stick. He's been putting up great fights, making me pay for every inch and has definitely learned the art of the attack.

The last few battles have been extremely bloody. We were just on a roll last night and I didn't even think about screenshots. I'll make sure not to forget again...

The battle continues....I'm back on the attack through the marshes. I've got a bit more tank heavy than normal, although Damp made me pay for that oversight fighting through the woods. You can see my jumping off line from this pic. I had small attack forces in the north and south that I was going to use to probe the woods. It was a heavy mix of IS-2s, T-34s and a SU152 and IS122. I had several infantry squads to scout the way.

As I moved into the woods almost immediately I started to take AT fire from multiple directions. Luckily, I had 3 mortar squads (120, 2 82s) to probe the woods with and managed to nail 4 of the guns with mortar fire and infantry/tanks.

However, this damn map apparently loves to eat tracks. I had more broken wheels and trackings on this one map then I've had in the rest of the entire damn GC! I had tanks stuck all over the woods. This forced me to ask for a truce after some intense combat.

The second battle on the map. I kept pushing in the same areas, however I also put 3 tanks near the center plain and road. I wasn't sure where I would find the weak point in his lines so I was preparing to use them for the final breakthrough.

You will notice that I was able to push through to the edge of the map, however there were pockets of resistance in the woods behind me. I had several tanks burned out once they had broken out of the woods by AT guns in the village and in the woods. Once again I suffered from broken wheels and tracks. Not amusing. I was able to secure all the VL's before the cease-fire forcing damp off the map.

Ok...red X's are AT guns pak 7.5cm... 1 Heavy AT gun 8.8cm Pak 43 West.
Yellow X's are panzerschreck teams.
Both supported by Light infantry + Command groups.
1 set of Engineers(Flame) FJ sturmpioniere at the south.
The heavy AT gun would kill 2 tanks before it bit the dust it's self.
I did some damage killed a few tanks..but not enough to hold my ground.
Each match on this map i would lose more ground.
The first match would inflict the most damage...Shame i could not repeat that later.

Results of the battle shown above. My BG managed to deliver some real pain here. However, Damp has been brewing up more tanks then I'd like...

Another wooded marshland. A bloody battle for both sides. Damp brewed up a few tanks and damaged an ISU122. I managed to kill his guns, but only after sustaining high losses. It was a hell of a fight.

Here's the first of two action shots from the second day of fighting. You can see an IS2 on the road. It has been immobilized by an AT unit somewhere nearby forcing all following armor to sidetrack through the woods. This causes severe delays. A T34 commander did was ahead of the IS2 but when it got stuck alone it was picked off by an AT gun. I was able to return the favor by dropping mortars on the gun.

The smoke is to cover my advancing infantry who were clearing both sides of the woods for the armor to follow up.

Does anybody have a suggestion for a good free graphics app to manipulate images with? Paint is terrible at it as the above action shots show with those weird white cross-section lines.

Damp's counterattack through the marshes...I have to say that DOF has too many back-to-back operations like this, especially at 15 days long apiece.

I have an armor heavy BG, however in the marshes that can be a detriment because of the ease they get stuck or tracked.

Damp came from both sides of the road, however in the south his troops ran into two units of my infantry which stopped them cold. I then moved a T-34/85 up from the bottom right to take out a Panther I had seen in the woods. After sneaking up on the Panther I put a round into it from less than 30 meters...that did nothing. I then started to back up but the Panther got a bearing on me and fired...and the T-34 brewed up. I was not happy.

There was a lot of mortar back and forth into the woods trying to keep the infantry pinned down. Damp was able to make a pocket in the north because I was deployed more forward in the south.
