It's a shortened printed manual. The PDF is apparently 400+ pages - the physical manual is supposed to be around 150 pages

oh - and damn straight I won't be paying £110 for a computer game. It could be made by god himself and have the most human like AI in the world and I still wouldn't pay that for a digital game. You people spouting stupid prices need to wind yer neck in

Diablo1 - I have mentioned BftB in passing from time to time - whining, after the initial shock announcement, is not what I'd call it.
Besides - WitP:AE is cheaper [:D]

Well, in truth I'm going to wait and see how much WitE is - but I might not get any. I have a load of games begging me to play them...and almost every one of them is worth dedicated time.
I was going to get a nice joystick for Christmas so I can enjoy fully the upcoming A10 and get some money from DCS BS and RoF - I might just stick to that.

Sorry for being abrupt. There was some sarcasm in my message. I have been looking forward to GG WITE for ages, and it is a game I will be prepared to pay whatever the affordable price is. If it is as good as my favourite Matrix game War between the states, then it will be money well spent.

Pity. I appreciate sticking a 400 page printed manual in a DVD box is a non-starter, but I'd rather pay more to get one packaged seperately than get an abbreviated version, if only because you can bet your bottom dollar that will contain just the stuff you need to read once or twice ('how to play'), not that you need to refer to frequently (tables, charts etc).
I'll just go with the DD, I think and keep the .pdf up on the 2nd monitor.

Gone are the days when games are packaged in large "cereal" boxes. Inside you have the manual and the game is stored in a number of small floppies. Majority of the box's volume is just filled with... air.

Jomni - that box really pisses me off - it's that kind of box and content that helped along this desire by the EU to reduce the size of the boxes. A massive box with very little content. EU MoP - "Oh - I know how to fix that - lets make ALL boxes tiny, regardless of the content they should hold" [:@]

Wasn't the EU who required this, it was the retail market. Small boxes take less room on vendor shelfs. The big packages are still available though. They call them 'collectors edition' nowadays.
