Hi all,

Bob, can you please post the whole frontline with and without fort levels (i.e. just like I do when I post frontline on Developer's forum)?

Thanks in advance!

I still feel your strategy's dangerous for your long term staying power. If he can hit units twice in a turn, and he seems to be doing that fairly often now, CV's will quickly go down the drain. The guys in the south in particular seem to be taking a serious beating on most turns.

I'm just trying to keep him east of the Dnepr until the mud and snow can give me a breather. Once the river freezes, I will change my defensive tactics to ones more focused on force conservation.

T11. Oleg has reached the river, and my defenses are very poor - his rate of advance has taken me by surprise and my preparations in this sector were poor - must do better next time.

T11: Still trying to counter punch when I can.

T11: In the far south 3 divisions are trapped in a port. Although they are supplied I can't get them out. I think they will get a "Dunkirk" and rout out rather than surrender.

T11: The defence of the Crimea has been very poor - Oleg Got across the Kerch Straits in one turn, attacking into a fully stacked lvl4 entrenchment. I refuse to comment on the variance in modified CVs, so let's just say the variance did not go in my favour.

T12 Start: Oleg has his bridgehead, but I think I have enough reserves to send him packing this time.

T12 Start: The newly formed 8th Army receives a very warm welcome from Oleg.

T12 Start: Poltava will have to be evacuated this turn.

T12 Start: 2 more divisions that I probably can't rescue - I can't commit reserves too far south if they can't get back to cover the centre.

I wonder how his truck pool is. Seems like he has a fair amount of mech units running around and those are big truck hogs along with his tank corps. The red wave seems to be pretty relentless so far. He has been pounding for over 2 months straight and you would think he would start slowing down from logistics issues at some point.

In my games with Flavio, he would run out of steam by T12, but he was usually across the Dnepr which is a big advantage for the Winter. I think he has about 1/3 of his front in static, so he is probably running at 2/3 pool/required, which is pretty standard, from previous 1943 tests.

I'm not sure why he didn't leave one hex open next to that port on the Sea of Azov to bump the units out of the port hex. Ah well, once he captures or isolates Genichesk in X 100 Y 112, they'll drop off the supply grid in any case.

I think that is his plan, he hasn't touched the enclave yet.(T14)

Good gawd what a wave of Soviet attacks. It makes me wonder if the tempo he is sustaining is well... sustainable.
