It's another example of how horribly biased the game is against German players.

are you kidding?

the german player made huge mistakes so far. why his tanks are gimping around in difficult terrain east of novogrod? rthere is no need for a "right hook" against leningrad because his infantry already isolated the city.

his panzers should be around moscow in panzer friendly terrain instead.

dont blame the game for german players mistakes.

That was sarcasm...I can attest from experience that '41 is ridiculous right now from a Soviet point of view. Maybe blizzard and beyond is terribly biased against the German, but given the amount of carping you would think that decent Soviet players could tie the German up in knots around Smolensk. Laughable.

sorry after several hours of working at night i seem to have lost my sense for sarcasm.:)

the first 17 turns are like hell for the russian player now. you can only cross your finger and pray for your opponents mistakes.

the german panzers would beat the hell of the russians when they would operate around tula and get moscow from the south. Kamil has almost no troops south of tula.

Once panzers started to face front longer than few hexes my defences became paper-thin and outcome of his next punch could be only one - deep penetration.

Unfortunately I was stupid enough to keep western part of my defence in better shape than units positioned in centre so price paid for my shortcomings is pretty high.

I am very uncertain of what will happen next in this area.

Exposed divisions near Tula was obviously overrun, but apart from that Saper didn't take any meaningful action.

Leningrad is lost cause, so to avoid further losses I moved east.

Simultaneously I increased amount of level bombers and transport planes in the area - city will be supported via air.

Surprisingly all quiet on Moscow front.

Units near Tula were destroyed, but there have been no attacks against my main defensive lines.

I am really pleased by developments in this area - several German divisions used to capture empty cities. Good.

Surprise here. Don was crossed and Rostov partially encircled. Losing few divisions and activation of new Army Group isn't good news.

ihope his tanks south of moscow do not turn to the north behind the city.:)

beside that:

i see a lot of german RCT (regimental combat teams) in the south. a opportunity for some soviet action?

Reinforcing Moscow area has absolute priority and any offensive action in secondary area could lead to disaster in the centre.
