Clearly, I've allowed my ships to venture too close to the bombers at Singers. I'm going to have to back off a bit.

It looks like he doesn't understand that air HQs have to be told to load torpedoes into inventory before TBs can fly with them. Consider yourself lucky the Swordfish and Beasts used bombs. With torps they can ruin your whole day. The Hudsons with bombs are not really a danger, but getting inside torp range at Singers before you attrit the airbase is dangerous.

OTOH, without looking at the DB, it might be he has torps but the range was outside carry range, so the planes defaulted to bombs. I don't recall what that range is for these two models.

Okie dokie.......I've received some moves from Rob and loaded it in slot 5 and the combat replay did it's thing and here's the losses for 12Dec41:

DD Scout is showing up on the sunk ships list so I'm guessing maybe I-166's one torpedo did the trick. Cool.

I got some good licks in at Wake. The bombarding group is halfway to Truk already.

The Allied coastal guns at Kushing finally got lucky and one of my invading ships took a hit.

Two little PT boats aren't much deterance to my landing TF off San Fernando.

I'm getting the idea that B-17's are really hard to shoot down. Best I could do is damaged on all four, or one B-17 damaged 4 times or something.

I'm going to move the CVL Ryujo SSW to finish off those two Allied TF's now that they are in my sights. I'll probably run out of sorties doing this business.

Of the many air attacks on Hong Kong this raid did the most damage.

I'm still marching my people to the SW along the road(s) to Manila.

I'm hoping that one more good push will give me Singkawang. Then I'll need to move some engineers there and some fighters for CAP. Singers aircraft can reach Singkawang so.....

Okie dokie. Miri is in the bag. Now to repair all the damage done to the industry there.

Guam fell. Now in the mid-60's I'll move some B-52's into there.

I've gotten a clue that I might ought to rest my guys a little, give them some supply, maybe some reinforcements and try again in a couple of days.

Things went swell at Singkawang. Now to move some fighters into there for CAP. And maybe some bombers to help Singapore fall.
